About Homecoming

For many teams, college football used to feel tribal and local. Now, rosters are more often assembled from all over and rebuilt every year. It can feel like cheering for mercenaries wearing your school’s colors.

This site grew out of something I first wrote about LSU and now covers 140 programs.

Modern roster and athlete-history data comes from CollegeFootballData.com. Official athletics departments extend the historical record, and the U.S. Census Bureau supports hometown geocoding.

I’m Andrew Dunn. You can find me on X and GitHub. My day job is building Hello Gravel. I also built Hallucinating Splines, an API for AI agents to build cities using the open-source version of the original SimCity engine.

Alex Prejean also helped. He runs Death by Private Equity, which tracks companies being killed by private equity.
